Primary Purpose:
Supervise children grades Pre-K - 5 in after-school program. Ensure that staffing and programs are running efficiently.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to successfully interact with children
- Ability to supervise staff
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Experience:
None required; some experience working with children and supervising staff preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure scheduled rotation is followed by all grade levels.
- Organize alternate plan when facility is needed by campus or in the case of inclement weather.
- Plan, organize, and implement educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for after-school setting.
- Lead, supervise, and conduct activities.
- Supervise staff and ensure coverage for all children.
- Properly supervise and discipline children and respond immediately in case of an emergency, including administering first aid as necessary.
- Communicate with Community Services staff daily.
- Deliver reports, attendance rosters, etc. to CS office as instructed.
- Assist in control of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain discipline and injury reports records as necessary.
- Greet and communicate with parents daily.
Other:
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and coworker information and as required by FERPA.
- Participate in staff development training programs, meetings, and special events as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime when requested.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within initial months of employment.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm while school is in session.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned Kids Club staff.

Maintain emotional control in possible stressful environments. Position requires energy level adequate for interacting with children grades Pre-K - 5, and tolerance for typical noise level of child care environment. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing, and ability to lift 35 pounds.
